Patricia Helen Whitney

Patricia Helen Whitney, age 83, of Milton, WI, died on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, at Cedar Crest Nursing Home from breast cancer. She was born on June 25, 1930, in Calumet, MI, the daughter of Edward O’Brien and Veronica (Finley) O’Brien. She married Harold Whitney in Chicago, IL. Harold preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2004. Patricia and Harold were former owners of Blackhawk Campground in Milton. She was a Master Bridge player, an avid reader and loved to garden. While living in Mississippi, she became a Hurricane Katrina survivor after losing her home. Patricia is survived by her children: Michael (Anne) Whitney of Lockport, IL, Thomas Whitney of Milton, WI, Gary (Jane) Whitney of Livonia, MO, Paul (Sundy) McMurray of Milton, WI, Harold (Becky) Whitney of Milton, WI, Susan (Peter) Bradley of Milton, WI; as well as 20 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her five sisters: Mary Gunsch of IA, Betty O’Brien of MS, Evelyn Gall of WI, Madelyn O’Neil of MS, and Katie Witek of WI. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents; as well as her brothers: Thomas, James, Donald and John (O’Brien). A memorial luncheon will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7th at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 837 Parkview Dr., Milton. ALL FAITHS FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, Janesville is assisting the family.
