Patricia A. Black, age 75, passed away Monday, October 6, 2008, in Eau Claire. She was born August 14, 1933, in Eau Claire, WI, to Carl and Florence (nee Etta) Keiner. In 1951, Pat graduated from St. Patrick's Central. She married Arthur L. Black on May 1, 1954, in Eau Claire, and they later divorced. Pat started her career at Gillettes Rubber Co. and then took time to raise her children. She later went to work for Con Agra, from which she retired. Pat was very outgoing and loved to socialize. She enjoyed casino bus trips, playing cards, the girls yearly get-together at “the Lake” and luncheons with her classmates. Patricia is survived by a son: Steven (fiance Kim Schneider) Black of Eau Claire, WI; two daughters: Julie (Randy) McAnally of Eau Claire, WI, and Sharon (Ronald) Whitwam of Fall Creek, WI; four grandchildren: Brian (Amy) Walker of Altoona, WI, Michael (Angela) Walker of Chippewa Falls, WI, Jennifer Whitwam of Eau Claire, WI, and Jordan Black of Eau Claire, WI; two step-grandchildren: Christina (John) Wasson of Menominee, WI, and Michael McAnally of Eau Claire, WI; five great-grandchildren: Molly, Megan, Kyle, Chelsea and Matthew; two sisters: Marlis Gudmanson of Eau Claire, WI, and Mary (Gerald) Biesterveld of Chippewa Falls, WI. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Arthur L. Black, and an infant daughter, Barbara. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 9, 2008 at 7:00 PM at Plombon's All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire. Family and friends may call on Thursday, at the funeral home, from 4:00 PM until the time of services. Private interment will be held at a later date.
