Orville E. Becker

Cottage Grove/Madison - Orville E. Becker, age 78, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2006 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison following a lengthy illness. He was born August 4, 1928 in Sun Prairie, WI the son of Edward and Olga (Kleinsteiber) Becker. Orville graduated from Sun Prairie High School in 1946, before serving in the Army .He married Ellen M. Fumuso on July 14, 1951 in Sun Prairie, WI . He worked for Wisconsin Porcelain twenty five years. Orville will be fondly remembered for his love of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. He received the first Madison Scout of the Year Award in 1973. He was a lifelong Cubs fan and general sports enthusiast. Orville is survived by his wife Ellen M. Becker, of Cottage Grove, WI; Four children: Dennis (Jannette) Becker, of Deerfield, WI; William Becker, of Mauston, WI; Kim (Jeff) Bonjean, of Madison; Linda (Bill) Ammann, of Cottage Grove, WI; Grandchildren, Katie Jo Becker, Amy and Jody Bonjean, Crystal Ammann, Joey, and Bryan Becker, one sister Ardis Wales, of Madison, WI; He was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson Adam Joseph Becker. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday October 27, 2006 at the All Faiths Funeral Chapel 4058 Lien Rd. Madison. Pastor Larry Sexe of Deerfield Lutheran Church will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Highland Memory Gardens following the service. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of services.
