Rock Township-Norbert Leo Albrecht, age 72, passed away July 26, 2006 at his residence. He was born June 1, 1934 in LaCrosse, WI; to Michael and Mary (Johnson) Albrecht. Following high school, Norbert attended the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. He joined the Marines in 1954 serving until 1956 during the Korean War. He pursued various careers , before he became a Millwright. Norbert was active and passionate about the Boys Scouts of America, serving as Scout Master, Commissioner, Camp Leader, and Ranger. He received the George S. Meany Award for his commitment to Scouts and the Local Labor Union. Upon retiring, he enjoyed traveling, and working as an independent contractor with the Amusement Park industry, for the previous 23 years. He will be fondly remembered for living a full and eventful life. Norbert is survived by his three sons Curtis (Cynthia) Albrecht, of Bolingbrook, IL; Mark Albrecht, of Gastonia, NC; Michael Albrecht, of Cleveland, TX; three daughters, Cynthia (Gary) Burrow, of Beloit, WI; Susan (Jeffrey) Musselman, of Reading, PA; Jodi (Michael) Marshall, of Beloit, WI; grandchildren, Chad, Mandy, Brittany, Jessica, Teresa, Stephanie, Ashley, Heather, Nathan, April, and one great granddaughter, Cailey He is preceded in death by his parents, two granddaughters Tiffany, and Amy. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, July 30, 2006 at All Faiths Funeral Chapel 1618 E. Racine St. Janesville. Friends may call from 1:00 until3:00 P.M., Saturday, July 29, 2006 at the funeral home. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund is being established in memory of Norbert. Norbert’s family wishes to express their gratitude to and sincere appreciation to Hospice Care Inc. of Janesville for their care of Norbert.
