MADISON Nancy Anne Brennan-Kale, age 79, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Muscoda, Wis., on Nov. 2, 1936. She worked for many years at Dane County Human Services and later for the State of Wisconsin. She was a wonderful seamstress, often creating custom-made wedding gowns, dresses and costumes. She was also an excellent cook and gardener who loved to share with all. Nancy is survived by five children, Tim (Anita) Brennan, Shannon (Jim) Maier, Jim (Jeanne) Brennan, Michelle Brennan and Lynette (Marshall) Childs; adopted daughter, Karen (Bob) Browne; a brother, Ron (Sam) Humann; six grandchildren, Jamie (Rich) DeHaven, Amanda Brennan, Kimberly (Andrew) Marrero, Lindsey (Nick Schultz) Maier, Sean (Amanda) Brennan and Dylan Maier; five great-grandchildren, Gage, AJ, Stella, Jett and Nathaniel; and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Fritz E. Humann; sisters, Suzanne Honer and Elaine Chase; and a son, Darren Brennan. A celebration of Nancys life will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Road, Madison, on Saturday, April 23, 2016, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The family would like to thank the Agrace HospiceCare staff and Peggy Carroll from the ADRC for their help and compassionate care.
