Monica R. Bolle

MCFARLAND - Monica R. Bolle, age 77, of McFarland, passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2018, at St. Marys Hospital in Madison, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Oct. 11, 1940, in Portage, Wis., daughter of Francis Yonke and Anthony Rank. She married Robert L. Bolle on April 18, 1964. Monica was devoted to her husband, Bob; daughters, Stephanie and Monica Ann; and she doted on her two granddaughters, Mara and Carmen. Her faith permeated every aspect of her life - family, friends, co-workers and her own personal journey. She was a life-long learner. She had an unquenchable drive and spirit. Her 40+ year career in nursing allowed her to not only care for others but to constantly learn new things. Even after her retirement she continued to care for those around her at home, at church and in her community. She loved to be outside working on one of her projects. She could often be found in her garden checking on her wild flowers and her vegetables. A memorial service will be held at CHRIST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, 944 East Gorham St., Madison, on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 beginning at 3 p.m. Reception to follow at the church. Burial will be at a later date in the Westfield South Cemetery, Westfield, Wis., where her mother, Francis and her father, Anthony are buried as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. Donations can be made in her name to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of her successful fight against breast cancer four years ago.
