MADISON - Minnie “Jean” Popowich, age 62, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at Don & Marilyn Anderson HospiceCare Center, Fitchburg. Jean was born August 27, 1945 the daughter of Claude and Ida (Stumbo) Denton, in the beautiful hills of West Virginia, a place she always called home. She lived in Marshall for thirty two years, working as a waitress while raising her family. Prior to her accident she worked at Ohio Medical and Hill Farms, where she received several awards. Jean loved the outdoors, playing scrabble, bingo, cooking and listening to Elvis. Jean is survived by her children, James Cedarwall, of Waterloo, Michael (Cindy) Rushbrook, of Waterloo, and Brandi (Al) Statz, of Deforest; brothers, Jim Denton, of Edgerton and David Denton, of Madison; one sister, Lyda Cregger, of Madison; six grandchildren, two great grandchildren her two best friends, Inga and Marie; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Anita Anderson; a brother, Charles Denton; and a nephew, James Cregger. Jean requested no public services. Jean will be missed dearly by her family and friends. P.S. All Mom’s Go To Heaven.
