Merdes Jean Boggs

Janesville - Merdes Jean Boggs, beloved wife of Theodore Boggs, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. She was born May 24, 1946 in Richland Center, WI; to Harlan and Maxine (Barlow) Sime. She grew up in Readstown, WI; before marrying Theodore Boggs on September 15, 1962 in rural Crawford County. Together they moved to Janesville where they raised their five children. In 1972 she dedicated her life to Jehovah as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Her great love of people and gregarious personality lead her to share her faith with many, volunteering her time and efforts. Merdes is survived by her husband of fifty years Theodore Boggs, of Janesville ,WI; her five children Kelly DiFiore, of Janesville, WI ; Jodi (Steve) Scidmore, of Janesville, WI; Michael (Rebecca) Boggs, of Williams Bay, WI; Daniel (Kelly) Boggs, of Stevens Point, WI; Ryan Boggs, of Blue Mounds, WI; ten grandchildren Ashley, Kaitlin, A.J, Colton, Deaken, Madeline, McKenzie, Jackson, Harrison, Griffin and one great grandson, Theodore; her mother Maxine Sime, of Readstown, WI; two brothers, Harlan (Patti) Sime and Monte (Cheryl) Sime, three sisters, Harline, Rahna, Melanie and many other nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness 4129 E. Bingham Rd. Janesville. A time of visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M until the time of the service at Kingdom Hall. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy memorials may be made to the family.
