Maurice K. Long

SUN PRAIRIE Maurice K. Long, age 87, passed away on Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg, Wis. He was born in Dane County on Oct. 2, 1929, the son of Kenneth and Elizabeth Long. Maurice married Gladys Rummler on April 17, 1952. She passed away in 1993. Maurice would marry Elaine Raether Buss on March 9, 1966. Maurice is survived by his wife, Elaine; a daughter, Keska (Bobby) Taylor of Shelbyville, Tenn.; a son, Morgan (Sandra) Long of Kaukauna, Wis.; a granddaughter, Mekayla Trout; a sister, Vivian (Casey) Clarke, of Sun city, Cali.; sister-in-law, Sharon Long; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Gladys, he was preceded in death by a brother, Keith and a sister, Patricia. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 204 Deerfield Rd., Marshall on Monday, April 10, 2017 beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Arthur Faught officiating. Private inurnment will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park, Madison. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and again on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
