Mary Ann Shinstine

MADISON - Mary Ann Shinstine, age 63, joined her parents, Merle and Dorothy (Otto) Shinstine in heaven on Friday, July 29, 2016. Down Syndrome and Alzheimer's Disease posed many challenges, but she beat the odds and inspired us by living like a princess, happiest wearing a tiara. She is survived by her siblings, Carol (Ken) Connor, Kathy (Chris) Davis, Jerry (Kim) Shinstine, David Shinstine, Mike (Carrie) Shinstine, and Lori (Bob Hoffmann) Shinstine; three nieces; four nephews; and three great-nieces; one aunt, Marita Fennel; and many cousins and friends. Mary Ann and her family are grateful for the loving care provided to her by so many wonderful people. The St. Mary's Care Center staff and Terri Patwell, APNP were exceptional. Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 12, 2016, at 12:30 p.m. at ST. MARYS CARE CENTER, 3401 Maple Grove Drive, Madison. Inurnment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In honor of Mary Ann, her family requests that memorials be given to St. Mary's Care Center or the charity of your choice. When we watch your favorite movie, "The Sound of Music," we'll be reminded that you "climbed every mountain" the final one to heaven. Hug Mom and Dad for us, dear sister, until we're together again.
