MADISON – Mary A. Knepler, age 82 of Madison passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 at Karmenta Center in Madison. She was born August 27, 1930 in Madison, the daughter of Nels and Thenora (Springen) Femrite, Sr. She married George Knepler in Madison on March 29, 1952 Mary worked for several years in food service for the Madison Metropolitan School District. She attended Bethany Evangelical Free Church for many years. Mary is survived by four children, Jim (Deborah) Knepler of West Bend, Susan (Gary) Chamberlain of Deerfield, Cyndi Knepler of Deerfield and David Knepler of Merrimac; five grandchildren, Emily and Katie Knepler, and Kevin, Brian (Kaitlyn) and Joe (Lindsey) Chamberlain; a great-granddaughter, Chelsea Chamberlain; a sister, Sylvia Doerfer; two brothers, John (Carol) Femrite and Glen (Diane) Femrite; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and a brother, Nels Femrite, Jr. A memorial service celebrating Mary’s life will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison on Friday, October 12, 2012 beginning at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Private burial next to her husband was held at Sunset Memory Gardens in Madison.
