Marlys E. Finberg

MADISON - Marlys E. "Marty" Finberg, age 71, passed away Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 at Badger Prairie Health Center in Verona from a long battle with cancer. Marty was born in Madison on Nov. 7, 1942, the daughter of Martell and Lynette (Helgeson) England. She married Robert Lee Finberg and they moved to McFarland in 1971, to raise their four children. She worked for Conrad's (Maple Tree) Supper Club in McFarland for many years. Marty enjoyed listening to music, painting and gardening. Marty is survived by her children Jack (Debbie) Finberg of DeForest, Kim (John) Crowley of Windsor; Julie Engelke of McFarland and Robert Finberg of DeForest; her seven grandchildren: Curtis, Jason and Troy Finberg, Stacey and Shannon Engelke, Casey and Allison Finberg; her five great grandchildren; her ever loving and caring siblings: sisters Carol Hartshorne and Sharon Stapelmann and brother, Merlyn England; sister-in-law, Maryann England and many very loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Edward Rice; brothers, Dallas and Wayne England; sister, Neva Ringstad; brothers-in-law, Arnie Kampmeier, Doug Hartshorne and Duane Stapelmann; sister-in-law, Maureen England and niece, Tammy England. The family would like to thank all the staff members at Badger Prairie Health Care for the time they took special care of our mother. We also would like to thank Agrace HospiceCare of Madison for their guidance, care and support. Also we would like to give a special thanks to Judy Green for all you have done for our mother. A memorial service will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd. Madison on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 beginning at 5 p.m. with Fr. John-Brian Paprock. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Poynette at a later date.
