Marjorie Ann Martenson, age 75, passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at Clairemont Nursing & Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. She was born July 5, 1933 in Gilmanton, WI to Arnold and Myra (nee Bidney) Hovey. Marjorie grew up in the Independence area and graduated from Independence High School in 1951. She went to work as a waitress and worked for many years in Eau Claire area restaurants such as the original Chicken Hut, Wally's Chalet, the Black Steer, and Piccadilly. In 1954, she married William F. Martenson in Alma, WI.. Marge was an avid Badger and Packer fan but her number one love was the Milwaukee Brewers. Survivors include her husband of 53 years: William Martenson of Eau Claire, WI; five children: Vicky (Michael) Parenteau of Eau Claire, WI, Michael Martenson of Eau Claire, WI, Daniel (Anne) Martenson of Eau Claire, WI, Marcia (Tim) Bandoli of Chippewa Falls, WI and Bruce (Linda) Martenson of Eau Claire, WI; five grandchildren: Chad, Michelle, Melissa, Andrew, and Mitchell Martenson; one great-grandchild: Mya; two sisters: Joyce Weiss of Mondovi, WI and Rosemary (Gerald) Everson of Mondovi, WI and a brother: Lou (Joanne ) Hovey of Indiana. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She is preceded by her parents and two brothers: Donald and Jerome Hovey Memorial services will be held at 7:00 PM, Friday, September 12, 2008 at All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service, 1405 N.
