Marion L. Mcfadden

September 10, 1938 — August 17, 2022

Marion Lucille McFadden, 83, passed quietly away on August 17, 2022 from her battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on September 10, 1938 to Chester and Laura (Radford) McFadden in St. Louis, Missouri.

Marion was a strong supporter of Women’s issues. This lead her to work and volunteer in Women’s Shelters in Florida and Louisiana. She also was a mentor to young women conducting their internships in the Security department of Louisiana State University. Marion believed in the inherent strength and potential of each individual. She modeled that by returning to school as an adult and receiving her Bachelor’s Degree.

Never one to be idle, Marion chose to live life. She was an avid racquetball and tennis player. She loved music and dancing. Marion would travel often. One of her most enjoyable trips being an Alaskan Cruise. She loved to read; especially science fiction books that she often shared with her son-in-law.

Marion was never too shy to meet someone new. She made friends wherever she went. Because of her kind, gracious and generous nature; people easily opened up to her. She lived without judgement, choosing to always find the positive in others.

Marion is survived by her children: Valerie (Bob) Craig of Janesville, Wisconsin; Eric (Kat) Trigg of St. Charles, Missouri; and Greg (Connie) Trigg of Union, Missouri. She also leaves behind her grandchildren whom she was very proud of: Kate, Mac, Zach, Torey, Laura, Justin, Sarah and Erica. She is further survived by her brother Gene McFadden. Marion will be dearly missed by her great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by her husband, Roland Hesmondhalgh; her parents; her brother, Clyde McFadden and his wife, JoAnn.
