Marilyn Vogelman

SHOREWOOD HILLS/MADISON - Marilyn Vogelman Dethorne, age 79, has passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2006 at University Hospital. Marilyn was known affectionately for her devotion to West Wing, the peace movement, and Democracy Now. She is survived by her four children; Kurt, Eric, Carol and Reid: and three grandchildren; Max, Aja, and Charlie. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husbands Roy Vogelman and Robert DeThorne. Marilyn lived with passion and love for her writing and music, and her pets Malcolm and Marcella. She was the proud daughter of Raymond and Alta Schmidt. Marilyn was a resident of the Village of Shorewood Hills for over fifty years. A memorial service will be held at the UNITARIAN CHURCH, 900 University Bay Drive, on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would request that memorials be made to The Progressive Magazine.
