FITCHBURG - Marilyn J. Kowing, age 66 of Fitchburg, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Meriter Hospital following a sudden illness. She was born March 31, 1945 in Cleveland, OH the daughter of Earle and Dorothy (Goodwin) Bogacki. Following graduation from high school in Rome, NY; she attended and graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in Nursing. She married Richard Clinton, and together they had two children, Denise and Rick. They divorced and she later married Timothy Kowing in 1976 and welcomed his daughter, Tonia into the family. Marilyn worked for 31 years at St. Mary’s Hospital as a Registered Nurse, many of those years were spent on the maternity ward working with mothers and babies. She enjoyed playing bingo, video poker, and several video games on POGO.com, making many friends around the world. She enjoyed new age and world music and spending time with her family when possible. She especially enjoyed trips to Pennsylvania to see her parents and other relatives. Marilyn is survived by her husband of 35 years, Tim; three children, Denise (Darrin) Ingemansen, of Columbia Heights, MN, Rick (Debbie) Clinton, of Fayetteville, NC; and Tonia (Keith) Allen, of Peru, IN; 15 grandchildren; a brother, Charles (Joyce) McGraw, of Plano, TX; step-mother, Lucille Bogacki, of Greenville, PA; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 beginning at 6 p.m. Visitation will be held at he funeral home on Tuesday from 4 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Marilyn’s name to the Dane County Humane Society or any other animal organization.
