She delighted in her daughter-in-law, Becky Smith, and cherished her grand daughters, Bethany and Jael. Marilyn had a quiet strength and perseverance as she faced the adversities in life. She was a compassionate listener, who touched and helped many lives. Her life’s work was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 30 years; of which 23 were at Four Winds Manor in Verona, and 6 years at Maple Wood in Sauk City. She received many commendations for her hard work, and care for the residents at each facility. Her care also extended to providing love, and assistance at her home to her mother, Mary, and then to her sister, Margaret in their last days on earth. She is survived by two sons, Mike (LeeAnn Cooper) Smith, of Middleton and Jim (Becky) Smith, of Madison; two granddaughters, Bethany and Jael; two sisters, Suzanne (Ken) Kaether, of Brooklyn, and Kathleen (Randy) Gilbertson, of North Leeds, and her Former husband, Michael C.
