MUSCODA - Margie E. Arbegust, age 84, of Muscoda, passed away on Sept. 1, 2011, at the Don and Marilyn HospiceCare Center. She was born on Nov. 19, 1926, in Manchester, Iowa, the daughter of William and Ula Manson. She married Donald Arbegust on Jan. 9, 1946, in Manchester, Iowa. Margie farmed with her husband Don, worked at Collins Radio in Iowa, Badger Ammunition Plant in Baraboo where she did jobs that many of the men could not do, UW Housing in Madison, and the House on the Rock in Spring Green where she loved to work because she was able to meet people from all over the world. Margie enjoyed flowers and working in her yard, feeding the wildlife, bird watching, and traveling. Survivors include sisters, Norma (Bob) Helmrich, Vanita (Walt) Clendennen and Joyce (Carl) Hauschild; brothers, Bill (Joanie) Manson and Jim (Cate) Manson; sons, Lon (Bonnie) Arbegust, Terry Arbegust and Lynn (fiancee, Darlene) Arbegust; and daughters, Pam (Edd) Brady, Cheryl Brock and Lee Anne (Steve) Pirus. She is further survived by seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ula (Anderson) and William; mother and father-in-law, Mary (Coonrod) and Loren Arbegust; husband, Don; brothers, Bud, Dean, Gerald, Hubert and Ron; a sister, Eillen Satterlee; and a brother-in-law, Bryce Arbegust. A memorial service will be held at the DON and MARILYN ANDERSON HOSPICECARE CENTER, 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at 1 p.m. to celebrate her life.
