Mabel M. Farr

Janesville-Mabel Marilyn (Garetson) Farr, age 78, passed away at her home after a long illness on Sunday, September 21, 2008. She was born April 6, 1930 to Eddie and Floy (Peaslee) Smith in Rockton, IL. She married Alvin L. Garetson on June 11, 1946 in Wisconsin Dells. Alvin preceded her in death on July 29, 1974. Mabel then married Myron (Mike) Farr on June 19, 1982 in Afton. Mike preceded her in death on September 18, 1988. She is survived by her daughter, Linda (Wesley) Bennett, of Janesville, WI; One son Peter (Debra) Garetson of Menasha, WI; four grandchildren, Patrick (Ann) Brown of Iron Mountain, MI; Marilyn (Curt) Krueger of Janesville, WI; Josiah and Samuel Garetson of Menasha, WI; four great-granddaughters Kathryn, Elizabeth, Isabella Brown,all at home in Iron Mountain, MI; Amber Krueger at home in Janesville. and one sister Beatrice Ketcham. She was also preceded in death by her granddaughter Janet Brown Kitson, six brothers and four sisters. Mabel's family wishes to express a special thank you to hospice Care Inc for their support. They would also like to thank Roberta and her family and Dawn for their loving care of Mabel. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at All Faiths Funeral Home 1618 E. Racine St. Janesville from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M with video tribute at 8:00 P.M.
