Louis G. Williams

MONONA – Louis G. Williams, age 58 of Monona, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2006 at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born August 1, 1948 in Dubuque, Iowa the son of Dean and Ann (Finley) Williams. Following graduation from Platteville High School, Lou was drafted into the United States Army. He served during the Vietnam War, receiving the Bronze Star and Purple Heart from wounds sustained during the war. Lou loved fishing, joking around, and was an accomplished artist. He will be missed by all who knew him. Lou is survived by a sister, CeCe Williams, of Fitchburg; a friend, Judy Wozniak, Madison; an aunt, Betty Hawkinson; and a cousin, Ann Williams, both of Rewey, Wis. He was preceded in death by his parents. At Lou’s request, private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice.
