Lorraine M. Ailes

WAUNAKEE, WI / KOUTS, IN - Lorraine M. Ailes (Herma), age 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lorraine was born in Gary, IN on July 30, 1944 to John and Loretta (Wienke) Herma. Lorraine married Paul L. Ailes on June 9, 1962. Lorraine was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She loved to read, watch the Badgers, was an avid Matt Kenseth fan, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and all her friends at Cannery Row. Lorraine was employed with Schwarz Insurance for 20 years and enjoyed the friendships she made along the way. She is survived by her husband, Paul Ailes of Waunakee; her children, Jeff (Kimberly) Ailes of Pine Bluff, NC; Debbie Krum of Madison; Laura (Rich) Pulvermacher of Waunakee; Greg Ailes of Horicon; Donna (Mark) Sprecher of Sun Prairie; Cindy Ailes of Verona; Matt Ailes of Columbus and Mark (Brenda) Ailes of Portage; brothers, Ronald (Barb) Herma of Wheatfield; Eugene (Kathy) Herma of Kouts and Daniel (Sandy) Herma of Kouts; a sister, Madeline (Herma) Tucker of LaCrosse; and eleven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Loretta (Wienke) Herma; father and mother-in-law, John and Laura (Peck) Ailes; and many other relatives. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 402 E. Indiana Ave., Kouts, IN on Saturday, March 1, 2014 beginning at 10 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Tibbs presiding. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AgraceHospice Care or the American Cancer Society.
