Lolita Villocino Scarinzi

MADISON - Lolita Scarinzi, age 67, passed away peacefully on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at HospiceCare, in Fitchburg after battling pancreatic cancer. She was born on Feb. 20, 1940, in Davao City, Phillipines, the daughter of Gervacio and Vioscora Tana. She married Jack Scarinzi on Oct. 7, 1965 in Binghamton, N.Y. She was a registered nurse for 40 years, and worked faithfully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, in Binghamton. She was also a talented seamstress, and contributed her abilities to many friends, as well as to the Binghamton University Theater Department and the Cider Mill Playhouse. She endured the passing of her husband in 2001, and after retiring in 2005, relocated to Danbury, Conn. Lita again moved to Madison in 2006 and made her home at All Saints Retirement Center. She greatly enjoyed the activities and her many special friends there. Survivors include daughter, Faith (Heith Dey and son Blake); sisters, Nina and Helen Tana; nieces, Joy and Crystal Saarie; brothers-in-law and other relatives and friends. Her memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007 at 10 a.m. at ALL SAINTS RETIREMENT CENTER CHAPEL, 8202 Highview Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HospiceCare, Inc. in Fitchburg.
