Lela V. Neisius

JANESVILLE - Lela V. Neisius, age 92, of Janesville, Wis., passed away on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton, Wis. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 21, 1924 in Janesville, the daughter of Walter and Mable Rizner.

Lela was an avid Green Bay Packer fan! She would watch every game wrapped in her favorite Packer blanket. She also enjoyed reading. Her favorite author was Louis LAmour. She could often be found sitting at her table putting together some very beautiful puzzles. But, Lelas favorite past time was visiting with her family. Her eyes would light up the moment that she saw a family member walk through her door.

Lela is survived by three of her children, Frank (Lynn) Neisius of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Virginia Manthey of Janesville, Wis., and LaVerne (Connie) Luchsinger, Sr. of Milton, Wis. Lela is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, fifty great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, June Neisius; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A celebration of Lela's life will take place on Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Edgerton Hospital and Health Services. Attendees are encouraged to wear Packer attire.

Lela's family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Agrace HospiceCare staff, who helped care for Lela during the last few months of her life. They were instrumental in ensuring that Lela received the compassionate care that she deserved. Memorials can be made to Agrace HospiceCare in memory of Lela.
