Lawrence J. Burner, 52, of Janesville, died unexpectedly at St. Marys Hospital in Janesville on Saturday, February 20, 2016. He was born in Janesville, the son of Thomas and Joan Burner on January 11, 1964. Larry, prior to his accident, worked for Woodmans Grocery Store in Janesville. He graduated from Janesville Parker High School, where he was a member of the swim and track teams. Larry played in pool leagues throughout town. He enjoyed bowling and playing cards. He especially relished getting together with his family. He loved the sun and warmth, and could not wait until spring arrived to get out and about. Larry is survived by his sons; Ryan Burner of Janesville and Jacob Burner of Edgerton. His mother; Joan Burner of Janesville, and siblings; Michael Burner of Lake Geneva and Linda (Robert) McBride of Janesville. He is further survived by his nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father and grandparents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon on Thursday, February 25, 2016, at ST. WILLIAM CATHOLIC CHURCH in Janesville, with Rev. Brian Dulli officiating. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
