Laura E. Giese

PORTAGE – Laura E. Giese, age 44 of Portage, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at University Hospital, Madison. She was born August 21, 1964 in Freeport, Ill., the daughter of Larry and Sally Jo (Lenz) Eaglin. Laura grew-up in Freeport and later moved to White Lake in Montello, Wis. She was previously married to Mike Giese. Laura enjoyed gardening, fishing, being on the lake, and spending time with her daughters and much loved dogs. She is survived by her girls, Megan Sanders, of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Shelby Giese, of Portage, Wis.; her father, Larry Eaglin, of Flippin, Ark.; her mother, Sally Jo Eaglin, of Montello, Wis.; and a sister, Sarah Eaglin, of Cottage Grove, Wis.. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents. A memorial gathering celebrating Laura’s life will be held at TRINITY UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, W3032 Park St., Montello on Thursday, April 2, 2009 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m with a short service beginning at 3:30 p.m. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for Laura’s children.
