WATERFORD/MADISON – Laura M. (Graves) Dolphin, age 87, a life long Madison resident, who recently moved to Waterford, Wis., due to her health, entered into the next phase of her life on Monday, October 9, 2006 at the Personally Yours Elder Care Center in Waterford. Born Sept. 10, 1919 in Gorham, Texas, and raised by her mother, Mabel Murray. Laura worked most of her life in retail sales until she was 70 years old, then spent the next 11 years working for the State of Wisconsin. Laura loved to read and sew during her free time. She is survived by three children, Beverly (Ron) Whiting, Cambria, Wis., Jerry (Yasuko) Dolphin, California, Darlene Dolphin, Madison; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. Laura is preceded in death by two sons, Wayne and Jim; two grandsons, Danny and Terry Dolphin; a brother, Daniel Murray; and two daughter-in-laws, Marilyn and Sue Dolphin. A memorial service celebrating Laura’s life will be held at the HIGHLAND MEMORIAL GARDENS CHAPEL, 3054 County Trunk BB, Madison, on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. Friends may call at the cemetery chapel from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
