Larry L. Manders

MADISON – Larry L. Manders, age 66 of Madison, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Dec. 5, 2008. He was born July 12, 1942 in Maquoketa, Iowa the son of Irvin and Vivian (Junk) Manders. Following his retirement from Gardner’s Bakery in Dubuque, of which he worked for 35 years, he moved to Madison to be closer to his family. Larry had a strong faith and was a member of St. Bernard’s Church in Madison. He is survived by his wife, Amy; five children, Michael, Raphael, and Gabriel Manders, all of Madison, Jessie Manders, of Sun Prairie, and Rachel (Ryan) McCall of Mission Viejo, CA; five granddaughters, Vivian, Johanna, Jewel, Karlee, and Stella; a sister, Lois (Jerry) Franzen, of Maquoketa, Iowa; a brother, George (Connie) Manders, of Bernard, Iowa; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Road, Madison, on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Msgr. Michael Hippee officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established. Larry was faithful person who will be missed by all who knew him.
