Kenneth L. Jacobson

SUN PRAIRIE Kenneth L. Jacobson, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at University Hospital in Madison on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2018. He was born in Bristol, Wis., on June 28, 1947, the son of Raymond and Loretta (Dunn) Jacobson. Ken graduated from Madison East High School in 1965 and married Judith A. Rantala on Jan. 20, 1967. He worked for many years as a mechanic and later as a supervisor for the City of Madison/Madison Metro Transit, retiring after 35 years of service. Ken raced stock cars in his earlier years and was a fan of NASCAR. He was a 55 Chevy enthusiast and was an amazing woodworker. He is survived by his two children, Eugene (Kathy Chiono) Jacobson and Jenni Polensky; six grandchildren, Summer Berg, Ashley and Alan Jacobson, Kayla Polensky, Jessica (Chris) Papp, and Charity (Julius) Hanson; eight great-grandchildren, Kenianna, Xavier, Mareah, Addie, Kamari, Drayven, Kaydra, and Kyrielle; and a niece, Melinda Dull. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers and a sister. Funeral services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 beginning at 11 a.m. with burial to follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Madison. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in Kens name to the Humane Society.
