Kathryn Houghton

MADISON - It is with great sadness we mourn the passing of Kathryn Houghton, aged 76, who passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2011. Kathryn was born in Madison to Louis, Sr. & Leta (Graham) Oshman on July 6, 1934. She married Harry Houghton April 15, 1961. They were married 40 years before Harry passed away on March 26, 2001. She loved to go out to eat, have cookouts on Susan & Tamara's deck & especially loved her Brewers, Packers & Bucks. She was an active participant in activities at Belmont Care Center where she resided the last 3 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry, and her brother, Louis, Jr. Survivors include sister-in-law, Gertrude Oshman, Nephew, John Oshman (sons, Luke & Riley) Niece Susan Oshman (partner and daughter, Tamara Seeker & Meadow Cynkar). The family would like to thank the staff at Belmont Care Center & Dr. Jim Shropshire & NP Gail Gaustad for their attentive & loving care. A celebration of her life will be held on at ROSELAWN MEMORIAL PARK CHAPEL, 401 Femrite Dr., Monona at 11 am on Saturday, April 23, 2011. Kathryn had a big personality & a great sense of humor. She was loved dearly & will be sorely missed.
