Kathy Ann Schulz, age 77, of Janesville Wisconsin, died at her home on Friday, January 31, 2025. Kathy was born March 15, 1947 in Janesville, Wisconsin, the daughter of Lloyd and Geraldine (Manthey) Lock. She graduated from Janesville High School in 1965. She lived in the communities of Janesville and Beloit.


Kathy married Tom Schulz and they enjoyed snowmobiling and four wheeling the in Beaver Dam area. She was employed at General Motors for 31 years and after retirement continued to breakfast with friends from her work.


Kathy was always considered a strong and feisty woman who would let you know her feelings on any subject being discussed. She loved life to the fullest, enjoying time with friends, family, Packer football games, watching NASCAR racing, playing pool, putting together puzzles and in general, finding a way to live life to the fullest. With her special friend, Frank Grindey, enjoyed TV westerns and outings when she was able.


Kathy dressed with fun earrings and clothing to keep her warm and cozy, always conscious of style and flair. She had a VERY extensive owl collection from earrings, puzzles she framed, clocks and ceramic owls. In her last years, Kathy was also known to have purple or turquoise colored hair, although she preferred turquoise the best.


Kathy is survived by her children: daughter, Tammi (Justin Weidenfeller) Eddy; sons: Jeffery (Marcella) Gritzmacher, Keith Quigley and TJ (Kristin) Schulz; grandchildren, Zackery Eddy, Kayla (Damian) Eddy LaVoy, Dani Tejeda, Tanner and Kannon Quigley, Miranda and Emma Reyes, Hannah Schulz, Taylor Schulz, and Mason Terronez; great grandchildren, Amelia and Violet; and special friend, Frank; siblings, Carol (Michael) McNall, Judith Lock, Greg (Virginia) Wallisch, Charles Wallisch and Helen Wallisch Carrel, Coleen (Michael) Jerge and Michael L. (Janet) McNall; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandparents; husband, Thomas Schulz; and baby sister, Alice Wallisch.


Kathy will be greatly missed by friends and family for her laugh and enjoyment of life. Kathy wished to thank Dr. S. Shekani, Dr. J. Dabson and Dr. S. Shaikh along with the nursing staff that cared for her at the Mercy Health Infusion Center, Mercy Hospital inpatient nursing units and the Mercy Mall Pharmacy staff for their care and compassion. The family also wishes to extend gratitude and thanks to Mercy Health Hospice Team.


Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, February 7, 2025, at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL HOME, 1618 E. Racine St., Janesville, with a time of remembrance beginning at noon.
