Kathleen V. Blaney

Kathleen (Kathy) Virginia Blaney passed away on March 13, 2024, in Cambridge, Wisconsin, at Our House Assisted Living, at the age of 77. She was born on September 22, 1946, in Madison, Wisconsin.

Kathy is survived by her son, David (Deb) Blaney; daughters, Autumn (Jason) Koehler and Dawn (Rob) Malizia; grandchildren, Sierra (Clinton), Kiana, Megan, Connor, Marlee, and Sammi; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Owen; brother, Joe (Sue) Galloway; and sister, Jane (Gary) Blankenheim.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Virginia Galloway (Latham); and sisters, Delores Smith (Galloway) and Virginia (Gary) Blaney.

Kathy pursued higher education later in life and became an LPN at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton. In her earlier years, she worked as a waitress to support herself and her children.

Her grandchildren brought her immense joy, and she enjoyed reading and crocheting in her free time. She also enjoyed time with her faithful dog, Teddy, and her lifelong passion of gardening.

Though Kathy tended to shy away from social events and keep to herself, when she felt comfortable her sarcastic sense of humor, with the occasional ‘Bite Me’ and awkwardly hilarious answers to board games, provided her family with a view that only a few shared.

In accordance with Kathy's wishes, there will be no public memorial service. The family will hold a private gathering to remember and honor her life. All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Services of Madison is assisting the family with the arrangements.
