Kathleen A. Faren

OREGON - Kathleen A. Faren, age 71, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 30, 2023, after a brief yet hard fought battle with cancer.

Born September 3, 1952, Kathy was the daughter of Wesley and Joan Wethal of Oregon, Wis. She was a 1970 graduate of Oregon High School and a long-time employee of the University of Wisconsin and State of Wisconsin.

Kathy was an avid fan of mystery and romance novels and loved cheering on the Green Bay Packers, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathy is survived by her children: son, Wes (Jennifer) Faren; daughter, Courtney (fiancé, Dave Becker); grandchildren, Avery and Chase; brother, Gregory; sisters, Connie (Rick) Russell, Mary Wethal, and Teresa (Don) Gilles; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Michael; and sister, Lori.

At the family's request, services will be private.
