Judith M. “Judy” Mueller, age 64, passed away peacefully at her home in Eau Claire on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 1, 1943 in the Township of Bern, Marathon Co., WI to proud parents Ervin and Marion (nee Kuck) Oldenhoff. In 1961, Judy graduated from Athens High School. Two short years later, she married her grade school sweetheart, Larry Mueller, on January 26, 1963 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Athens. They moved to Eau Claire three years later to raise their family. Judy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who also provided in-home daycare for more than 35 years. A member of VFW Post #305 Ladies Auxiliary, she led the project to organize the Eau Claire Room for the recommissioning of the Battleship Wisconsin (BB-64). Her interests included wildlife watching, playing with Russell and Krista’s dogs, gardening, sewing, embroidering, and cooking and baking for her family. She also enjoyed dining out with family and friends and she loved to discuss religion and politics. Although a Green Bay Packer Fan, her favorite team was the Miami Dolphins. Survivors include her husband, Larry of Eau Claire, WI; two daughters: Brenda (Jason) Culbert and Jill Mueller both of Eau Claire, WI; two sons: Mitchell Mueller and Russell (Krista) Mueller both of Eau Claire, WI; three grandchildren: Justin, Ashley and Amber all of Eau Claire, WI; her mother: Marion Oldenhoff of Athens, WI; and three sisters: Carol (Melvin) Moore of Marshfield, WI, Margie (Florian) Mleczek of Wausau, WI and Donna (Don) Kulas of Weston, WI. Further survived by other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly, a son, Michael and her father, Ervin. Funeral Services will be held Sat., Dec. 1, 2007 at 11:00 AM at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, corner of Fall and Birch Streets, Eau Claire. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Fri., Nov. 30, 2007 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Plombon’s All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire and again on Sat., at the church, from 10:00 AM until the time of services. The family would like to thank the staff at Marshfield Cancer Center and St. Joseph’s Hospice with a special thank you to the staff and nurses on the 8th floor of Sacred Heart Hospital for the wonderful care and support given to Judy.
