MADISON, WIS. - Juanita Anthony-Carter, 70, passed from this life into God’s hands on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at home. Juanita was born Aug. 4, 1941 in Gary, Indiana, the daughter of Willie Davidson and Dora Booey. She grew up in Gary and attended Roosevelt High School. For many years, she was a member of Spirit of Love Missionary Baptist Church in Gary. She worked with children as a computer coordinator at Delaney Community Center. Juanita always enjoyed a good party, and her quirky personality attracted people of all ages. Juanita was something of a techie, loving to play on her computer; she had a creative passion for crocheting, as she watched her favorite TV shows. Juanita was also a member of the Eastern Stars. After moving to Madison, Wis. 13 years ago, Juanita worked at Atwood Community Center as a receptionist. Juanita was preceded in death by her mother, Dora; father, Willie; stepfather, Casey Booey; and sister, Jacqueline Nutall. Juanita leaves to mourn her memory, her husband Warren; three daughters Vernita Cromwell (Calvin) Brooks, of Hobart, IN; Carol Jones (David) Boone, of Madison; Dana Grimes of Madison; sister Hiawatha Booey, of Madison; eight grandchildren including beloved granddaughter Mikia (Leonard) Lewis, of Madison; seven great grandchildren; and many loving nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison on Wed. March 28, 2012, at 11 a.m.
