MADISON – Joseph Vincent Byrnes, age of Madison, passed away Friday, August 17, 2007 at the HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. He was born April 10, 1944, the son of Joseph and Maybell (Winchell) Byrnes. Joseph was generous, kind and thoughtful. He had a beautiful singing voice and enjoyed country and gospel music. He loved home-cooked meals, with his favorite being roast beef, mashed potatoes and apple pie. He was an avid Brewer and Packer fan, but especially loved to spend time with family and friends. Joseph was an example to us all because he brought out the best in us all. Joseph was a gift from God – a shining example on how to treat your neighbor. Joseph is survived by three children, Kelly (Jay) Weber, Kathleen (Leif) Christenson, and Andy (Brenda) Byrnes; seven grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Bonnie Byrnes Peck, Robert Byrnes, Waunetta Byrnes, Shelba Byrnes Mistek, Vera Hanson, Virgol (Marilyn) Wurster; sister-in-law, Annette (Hansen) Byrnes; 62 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Vivian Sible and Verna Harris; two brothers-in-law, James Harris and Lester Hanson; nephew, Mark David Seay; and an uncle, David Duell. Funeral services will be held at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Road, on Tuesday, August 21, 2007, at 6 p.m. with Pastor Bill Wineke officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday, from 4 p.m. until the time of service. Many thanks to friends who visited him, and the staff of the HospiceCare Center for their tender loving care. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
