John Martin Magnuson

MADISON - John M. Magnuson, age 54 of Madison, passed away on Aug. 29, 2016 at his home in Madison. He was born on Nov. 23, 1961 in Moline, Ill, the son of John and Dessie Magnuson. He married Linda Palkovich on Dec. 27, 1992 in Osseo, Wis. John attended schools in Wisconsin and Florida. John was known for his big heart, quick wit and loyalty to those he loved. Friends and family were most important to John. He loved music, his cat, classic movies and all football - especially his beloved Colts and Falcons. Survivors include his mother, Dessie Kleinhammer from Chippewa Falls, Wis.; his sister, Sue (Jim) Hillman from Downers Grove, Ill.; and his brother Terry (Julie) from Chippewa Falls, Wis. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews; and two wonderful friends from Madison, George Junemann and Jay Hanson. Preceding him in death were his wife, Linda; his father, John; and his brother, Tim. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016 at the Osseo Cemetery in Osseo, Wis. The service will be officiated by Rev. Robert Hoekstra, chaplain of Chippewa Manor, Chippewa Falls, Wis. A memorial luncheon will be held after the service in the meeting room at the Super 8 Motel in Osseo, Wis. Memorials may be made to your favorite charity.
