MADISON – John I. Scholl, age 94, passed away on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 at the HospiceCare Center, following a short illness. He was the son of Harry T. Scholl and Mildred Mason. He was born in Richland Co. He attended schools in Lime Ridge and Reedsburg. John married Arlene Booth of Richland Center, and they were married for 72 years. Together they had one daughter, Jo Ann Marie. He is further survived by a grandson, Randall Hendrickson, of Madison. John worked for several garages in Madison. He managed the body shop at Brun’s Volkswagen Garage for 15 years, then went to work for Bock Corp. until he retired at 65 years old. His hobbies were riding motorcycles and flying airplanes. He belonged to the Civil Air Patrol and was a member of the Quiet Birdmen’s Association. John was very patriotic, flying the American Flag everyday. He also fed the birds everyday, winter and summer. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Carol Lewis and Irene West; and a brother, Jesse. There will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held at a later time.
