John Goforth

JOHN GOFORTH, 42 LAKE GENEVA, Wis. - John Goforth, 42, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010, at home, surrounded by his family. Born Aug. 12, 1968, in Ponca City, Okla., the son of Joseph Goforth and Barbara Miles (Hooker). Married Joia Cummings on Dec. 28, 2005, in Anna Maria Island, Fla. The couple shared a wonderful life together and loved the outdoors. He worked for Tankcraft Corp. and enjoyed welding. John had a need for speed and was known to mud race jeeps semi-pro. He was an avid fisherman, gardener and a friend to many. John was a beloved father to his children, Jonathan Goforth, Gavin Goforth and Brook Goforth. He devoted his life to making his family happy and was blessed to have a brother, Benjamin; sister, Larissa; niece, Opaleena; nephew, Kuper; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. Predeceased by his son, Justin; and grandparents. Native American Ceremony at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 8, in Big Hill Park in Beloit.
