John Gerald Cain

FENNVILLE, Mich./ OAK PARK, Ill. - John Gerald Cain, age 82 passed away peacefully on October 15, 2011 at Oak Park Place Memory Care in Baraboo. John was born in Green Bay to Ruben and Wilma (Johnson) Cain and raised in Whitefish Bay. Although John’s career and travels took him elsewhere, he retained his love for the north woods and always considered himself a Wisconsin boy at heart. He is survived by his four children, Chris Cain (Betsy), Julia Herrick (Tom), Ceci Cain (Laura Fernelius), and Mary Grace Cain; and five grandchildren David, Elizabeth and Katherine Herrick, Johnathon Cain and Monica Marro. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years Priscilla; his sister, Janet Sielaff; and his parents. A successful public relations executive and art dealer, John’s creativity and wit will be missed by all who knew him. Heaven has gained a treasured artist, writer, gardener and fisherman. A private family service will be held at the Plummerville Cemetery in Fennville, Mich.
