John C. Sine

MADISON – John C. Sine, age 60 of Madison, passed away peacefully at home, on Sunday, March 29, 2009. John was born Sept. 30, 1948 in Rhinelander, the son of Charles and Linnea (Nyholm) Sine. John graduated from Rhinelander High School in 1967 and attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse before enlisting in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict as an underwater diver. He worked for the University of Wisconsin Physical Sciences Lab in Stoughton for over 20 years before retiring in 2005. John is survived by his wife, Renee Piraino, of Madison; daughter Heather (Ryan) Solis, of Stoughton, who are expecting a son, Joshua John, in June; and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial gathering celebrating John’s life will be held at the ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Rd., Madison, on Friday, April 10, 2009 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with a short military service beginning at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established for his grandson, Joshua John Solis.
