John C. Bailey

SUN PRAIRIE - John C. Bailey, age 83, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2007 at HospiceCare. He was born in Belle Plaine, MN on May 6, 1924, to Dennis and Celestine (Tracy) Bailey. John was a salesman all of his life selling vehicles, gas and oil, milk, and seed corn for 35 years. He sold corn for Trojan, Blaney, Stauffer, Super Crost-Funks and Blaney/Gutwein. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Donald and Bill, and grandson Erik Heimerdinger. John is survived by his brother Bob and his sister Mary (Walt) Schaal, his loving wife of 53 years Shirley (Lenz), his children Michael of Agat, Guam; Terese of Sun Prairie; Patrick of Sun Prairie; Maureen (Jerry) Heimerdinger of Dietrich, Idaho; Carmen (John) Warren of Racine; grandchildren Adam, Sami, Lauren, Alex, Jackson, Camas, Mesa, James, and Mitchell; his mother-in-law Myrtle Lenz and numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. A mass will be held at SACRED HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 221 Columbus St., Sun Prairie on Friday, November 23, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will precede the mass in the Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association; Colonial Club; HospiceCare or the WI Comprehensive Memory Program.
