Joel E. Knutson

Joel Erwin Knutson, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many, passed away on July 21st, 2024 in Janesville, WI. He was born on July 30th, 1962 in Edgerton, WI to loving parents who instilled in him the values of hard work and compassion.

Joel's passing has left an indescribable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughter Jessica; son Tyler; step-son Jay; step-daughter Tabetha; grandchildren Ivy, Layla, Keylie, Ben, Landen and Nash; sisters Donna and Debra; brother Jeff; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Known for his quick wit and sharp sense of humor that could brighten even the darkest days with a single quip or one-liner. Joel had a unique ability to bring joy into any room he entered. His love for fishing was unparalleled – it was a passion he shared with his granddaughters once they were old enough to join him at the water's edge. His "cool guy cabinet" filled with all sorts of interesting trinkets reflected his eclectic tastes and served as a testament to his vibrant personality.

One couldn't help but smile when Joel quoted lines from classic movies – it was just one more way he brought laughter into people's lives. Whether offering brutal honesty or unwavering support when needed most - Joel always made sure those around him felt valued and loved.

A celebration of Joel’s life will be held at Deano’s Pub on Crosby St., August 17th at approximately 2pm where friends and family can come together to honor this remarkable man who touched so many lives during his time here on earth.

The loss of such an extraordinary individual is immeasurable but we take comfort knowing that Joel's spirit will live on through the memories we hold dear in our hearts forevermore.
