Joan M. Daniels

Joan M. Daniels, age 82, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, Wis., following a brief illness. She was born January 10, 1925, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Harvey and Antionette (nee Dugenski) Porter. She grew up in Marshfield, Wis., and moved to Eau Claire in her teens. Joan worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for the Board of Education before marrying Howard L. Daniels at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Eau Claire. Upon her retirement, she lived in Couderay, Wis. Joan was a member of the Catholic Women’s Club and enjoyed volunteering at St. Francis food Pantry and Sacred Heart Hospital. Survivors include a son, Robert (Tamara) Daniels of Appleton, Wis.; a daughter, Ann Marie (Michael) Sill of South Bend, Ind.; and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Daniels and Amanda Sill. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Antionette (nee Dugenski) Porter; and her husband, Howard L. Daniels. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 21, 2007, beginning at 10:30 a.m. from All Faiths Funeral & Cremation Service, 1405 N. Clairemont Ave., Eau Claire, going to St. Patrick Catholic Church, Fulton & Oxford Streets, for the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at the funeral home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., where there will be a 7 p.m. vigil service.
