Joan Bush

MADISON, WIS. - Joan Bush (Morton), age 78 of Madison, Wis., passed away on Wednesday Dec. 14, 2016 at Nazareth Health and Rehabilitation Center in Stoughton, Wis. Joan passed away peacefully after a long fight with cancer where she displayed great strength and faith. She was born on March 8, 1938 in Fairmont, West Virginia, the daughter of Cleve and Johnnie Mae Morton. She was married to Paul Bush Joan is survived by a brother, James (June) Morton, Sr.; children, Joanne Morton, Linda (Adam) Smith and John Bush; grandchildren, Chanel (Leander), Donte, Deon, Cortez, Alecia (Julio), Jeffery, Shanice, Latasha, Pagie, Kail; and many loving nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleve and Johnnie Mae Morton; her husband, Paul Russel Bush; and brother, Cleve Morton, Jr. Funeral services will be held at MOUNT ZION BAPTIST CHURCH, 2019 Fisher St., Madison on Friday, Jan 20, 2017 beginning at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday, Jan. 20, 2017 from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
