MADISON – Jean M. Brennan (Buddeke), age 78 of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at UW Hospital in Madison. She was born in Chicago, IL., on August 22, 1945, the daughter of Charles Caldwell Buddeke and Betty (Odmark) Buddeke.
Jeannie was a huge Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. She got to experience the Bears winning a Super Bowl, and the Cubbies winning the World Series. Jeannie worked at Northwestern University for many years and was a big Northwestern Wildcat football fan. Jeannie also loved the I Love Lucy Show!
Jeannie is survived by her children, Sean Brennan, Bryan (Jessica) Brennan, and Erin (Chris) Lezotte; grandchildren, Bryce, Brock, Bridget, Michael, Patrick, Brennan, Kallan, and Tavin; siblings, Charlie (Jan) Buddeke, Johnny Buddeke, Katie Buddeke, and Yvonne (Dick) Buddeke Middlecamp.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Nancy Buddeke.
A Celebration of Jeannie’s Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Somewhereintime Farm, 4324 Smith Dr., Deerfield.
