Madison- Jason (Jay) Lawrence Baumgartner, age 38, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born December 9, 1976 the son of Lawrence and Marilyn (Richardson) Baumgartner in Madison, WI. He graduated from Belleville High School in 1995 and graduated from Madison College. He worked at BMO Harris Bank (formerly M&I Bank) for the past 10 years. Jay married Christina Beach-Baumgartner on August 13, 2011 in Madison, WI. Jay and Christina did not have children but Jay loved their two cats, Minerva and Clay, like family. Jay had a great appreciation for excellent food, and drinks. He enjoyed cooking, reading, watching movies, listening to music, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and Wisconsin sports. Jay was a phenomenal storyteller and loved to meet new people and explore new opportunities. Jay is survived by his wife Christina Beach-Baumgartner of Fitchburg, WI; father Lawrence Baumgartner of Verona, WI; sister LisaAnne Baumgartner (Mark Anderson) of Madison, WI; grandfather Milo Swenson of Madison, WI; aunt Gail Dahlk (Doug Dahlk) of Belleville, WI and their family; uncle Gene Baumgartner (Sharon Baumgartner) of Sun Prairie, WI and their family; aunt Beth Ammerman (Dave Ammerman) of Evansville, WI and their family; uncle Dan Richardson of Mt Vernon, WI; aunt Kathy Smith (Skip Smith) of Spokane, WA; uncle Craig Swenson (Marie Swenson) of Madison, WI; father- and mother-in-laws Tom and Leslee Kovalaske of Theresa, WI and Jim and Glenda Beach of Oldsmar, FL; sister-in-law Amy Kovalaske of Madison, WI; and many other family and friends. Jay was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn (Richardson) Baumgartner; Grandparents Joe and Erma Richardson of Verona WI; Grandmother Yolanda Swenson of Madison WI; Uncle John Richardson of Madison WI A celebration of Jay's life is tentatively planned for January 3rd.
