Jane H. Greene

JANESVILLE - Jane H. Greene, age 90, went home to our Lord on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013, at the Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. She was born June 5, 1922 in Cherry, Tenn. the daughter of Harry and Lucy (Kennedy) Maxfield. She married the love of her life, Donald Greene on Jan. 30, 1942. They ultimately made their home in Janesville, where they raised their three daughters. Jane is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Persike of Sun Prairie, Donna (Michael) Wollin of Barneveld, and Mary Jo (Timothy) Adler of Eau Claire; seven grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Joann and Jackie, both of Illinois; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Gary Wayne Greene; a granddaughter, Gina Persike; and two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at SACRED HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 227 Columbus St., Sun Prairie on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. with Father John Silva officiating. Private interment will be held next to her husband at Roselawn Memorial Park, Monona. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. The family wishes to thank the Agrace HospiceCare staff for their loving care of Jane and her family. She was the greatest mom and grandma. We will miss her. Rest in the the arms of your heavenly father and loving husband.
