Jamie A. Gundlach

With heavy hearts, we announce the unexpected passing of Jamie Allen Gundlach, who left us on February 11, 2025, just three days shy of his 60th birthday.

Jamie was preceded in death by his beloved father and best friend, John A Gundlach, Sr. Born in Madison, Wis., to Tonee and John Gundlach, Sr., Jamie grew up on the Eastside of Madison, though his heart was always in the Spring Green/Lone Rock area where he cherished his time.

He married Susan (Watters) Zimpel and together share three beautiful children, Holly (Christian), Dustin (Lauren) and Eric; along with five beautiful grandchildren, Kyla, Charlee, Willa, Hunter, and Natalie. Jamie is further survived by his loving mother, Tonee Edwards; stepmother, Melissa Gundlach; significant other, Donna Lees; siblings, Tammy Marie (Mike), John Jr. (Romy), Shawn (Deb), Tami Lynn, Rob (Kris), and Sara; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jamie found peace in nature, whether it was fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying the serenity of the outdoors, often with a Diet Pepsi in hand. His infectious sense of humor was one of his defining traits, always ready with a joke or a playful remark. His smile, laughter, warmth, and the joy he brought to others will forever be remembered.

The family will have a celebration of life at a later date, where family and friends can gather to share stories, reminisce and enjoy quality time together, as Jamie would have wanted.

Though Jamie is no longer with us physically, he will always be with us in our hearts. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
