MADISON James R. Aldrich, age 77, passed away due to complications of dementia on Saturday, June 2, 2018, with his wife and loved ones by his side. He was born in Madison on July 20, 1940, the son of Edward and Adelaide (Schultz) Aldrich. Jim graduated from Madison Central High School in 1959 and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Following his service, he received his diploma in engineering from MATC. He worked for 20 years in housekeeping at Mendota Mental Health. Jim married Debby Lynn Fiedler at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Madison on June 7, 1992. In addition to his wife Debby, Jim is survived by his two brothers, Bill (Helen) and Tom (Sue); a sister, Mary Stumpf; sister-in-law, Susan Fiedler; and many nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sharon Locke; two brothers-in-law, Carl Stumpf and Bill Locke; and his mother and father-in-law, Caroline and Ed Fiedler. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Dr., Madison on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 12 noon with military honors to follow. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens, Madison. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
