MADISON - James F. Guelzow, age 64, of Madison, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2006, at his home. Jim was born Dec. 28, 1941, the son of Frederick and Adeline (Weichmann) Guelzow. He was a graduate of Madison East High School and was a longtime employee of Gardner's Bakery, retiring after 43 years of service. Jim was an avid sports fan, and truly loved baseball, football and auto racing. He is survived by three brothers, Sanford Guelzow of Janesville, David (Leana) Guelzow of Cottage Grove, and Keith (Wanda) Guelzow of Oregon; three sisters, Joanne (Bill) Martin of Madison, Jean (Lenny) Redders of Madison, and Vicki (Tyrone) Powell of Poynette; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant siblings, Donald and Sandra; and a nephew, Randy Lapacek. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2006, at 3 p.m. Friends may call from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
